stephen garrett dewyer

stephen garrett dewyer works as founder of public arts commission, artist and part-time professor.  stephen worked as co-founding of editor of ∞ mile (infinite mile), a journal of art and cultures in Detroit that published monthly online issues and annual print anthologies from December 2013 - November 2016.  He served on a U.S. National Endowment for the Arts grants panel in 2016.  His work has exhibited in numerous solo and/or group shows throughout the United States, including Baltimore, MD; Detroit, MI; New Haven, CT and New York, NY.  He taught art and design at several universities in southeast Michigan including the University of Michigan Stamps School of Art and Design, Oakland University and the University of Detroit Mercy.  In 2009, he curated the exhibition Propositions at Area 405 in Baltimore, MD.  stephen earned an M.F.A. in Sculpture from the Yale University School of Art in 2011 and a B.F.A. in Art History, Theory & Criticism from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in 2008.  stephen lives in the Minneapolis - St. Paul area of Minnesota.
